Every time someone picks up a new book, it is judged based on the cover look, the title of the book, and who wrote the book. Most people, including me, always look at the cover first because that is what catches the eye first.
At the moment, Eclipse by Stephenie Meyers caught my attention early and has maintained it through the reading. After reading the first and second book, I had an idea of how Eclipse was going to be written. The black background makes the red ribbon stand out. It’s a simple cover with a lot of meaning. The eye grabber is the rip on the ribbon. The rip draws your attention and lets you infer that there will be a problem situation in the reading ahead.

I agree that the Twilight series are a good read. They immediately drawn you in. I couldn't put them down.
